Meeting with our Tutor

I was feeling not well, so I didnt go to the meeting however, a classmate sent recordings from the meeting via whatapp for people who missed it to catch up.

There are tasks for us as a group to get done such as
1. Finalising our product name
2. Preparation of what we need for the Project Lab on Thurday the 9th. Including feedback questions.
3. Planning the Final presentation on Tuesday the 14th

This week tasks is to get as many feedback possible during the Lab session for us to review our final presentation.

Touch^4 (Our Product)

What: touch^4 is an innovative state of the art glove designed to fit any hand perfectly and allowing you to go to your favorite cultural event or concert without physically needing to be there. Your body will simply appear as a hologram in the physical space the event is occurring in and you will be able to feel and touch due to the incredible sensory receptors and high tech bio-organic material.

When: touch^4 can be used anywhere at anytime. You will be able to use touch^4 to enter any cultural event C^4 is organizing out of the comfort of your home or at one of our local offices: the touch^4 lobby.

Why: touch^4 is designed to make people feel culture and experience it as they would in person. We realize accessibility is a major issue in the arts and cultural field so to ensure we are cooperating with C^4 values and doing the most to bring communities of people together – we developed a technology that enables anyone from anywhere to be able to come into a gathering, touch and feel their friends, the art, the music and the vibes. Touch^4 is a non profit organization that wants to advocate the necessity for everyone to be able to access culture, anytime, anywhere.

Who: touch^4 is designed for everyone interested in the arts and culture but don’t have the means, resources, time or capacity to come to our events physically. Meaning no matter where you are located – you can access our gloves either in one of our offices or grab a pair to take home or to your travels (with a generous donation in mind). Touch^4 is accessible to those with disabilities and our offices have spaces that further assist you in your usage – whether that be through AI/human assistance or both.

How: touch^4 works with state of the art technology and sensory receptors on its high tech biomaterial structure that allows for your body to exist in a physical space as a hologram without the need for you to be there. The receptors also enable you to touch and feel music, art, people and hence, culture. Building on revolutionary intelligent neurological technology, these receptors enable you to feel and exist in a space you aren’t in physically.

Project Lab

I would say the project lab was a success. The feedbacks were really helpful and some feedbacks we got, we didnt even think about it at first.

Some peers came to me during the project lab to ask what the product got to do with the company and our values, they found it confusing and struggled to find the connection between the two. But I think it got to do with the way we layout out the table. Theres multiple tablets laying on the table and there’s also different parts of our project being displayed. So if the viewer didnt read the slides from the top, they might get confused with everything. Plus when viewers leave the table, they left the slides where they were, they didnt re-start the slides to the first page.

Another feedback was to retake the team pictures to make it looks timeless and doesnt show the era we are in and reimagine the roles with a humanities dimension: connect our 9 values from the mission statement to the roles. Connect everyone’s roles to the aspect they worked on in the company but give it a futuristic and human connection.
